The Bridge to Another World
The Bridge to Another World
In the clouds-hidden mountains of eastern China, there existed a forgotten town called Falling Stars. The townspeople had guarded a ancient well for generations—said to lead to another world built from starlight fragments, called the Star Pavilion. For a thousand years, no one had truly returned from there, except the seventh descendant of the Lin family—a silent young man named Lin Yan who wore a faded blue cloth shirt.
One spring, a rare meteor shower crossed the sky, leaving the mountain painted in dark gold. The mayor gathered everyone to announce this was a sign of upheaval to come.
Lin Yan was twelve when he first found the well. Inside, he discovered a library containing every story ever told. He read his own life story—and the final page was blank.
He understood then: the well didn’t show the future. It wrote it.
And someone had asked him to rewrite the ending.
